The Marató dels Dements is a very challenging race in terms of elevation and slope, with 95% of the course on trails. It is considered one of the toughest races in Europe at this distance due to its terrain, making it unsuitable for trail running beginners. Adequate preparation is required, without which this race should not be attempted.

Dements is the season finale of the SkyMasters and awards more points compared to other races.
